Our terms, in plain language
Privacy
We only ask for what we need to help you, and we look after it carefully. This is how we handle your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Last updated 16 October 2026
What we collect
- When you use our enquiry form: your name, WhatsApp number, email address (if you give it), the funeral date, what you need and any message you write.
- When you message or email us: what you send us, which can include the name, dates and photos of the person you are honouring, service and burial arrangements, the order of service, and poems or verses.
- When you order: payment confirmations, and a delivery address if we courier your order.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, quote, design, print and deliver your order, take payment, and help you if something goes wrong. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Our own team, who design and print your order.
- The services we use to run the business: our website and email host, WhatsApp (for messages you send us there), the payment-link provider if you pay by card, and the courier if we ship your order.
We share only what each of them needs to do their part.
How long we keep it
- Photos, wording and design files
- Deleted 3 months after you collect or receive your order, including the copies in our WhatsApp chats. We keep them that long so we can reprint quickly if you need more.
- Your enquiry and messages
- Deleted together with your design files, 3 months after your order is complete.
- Invoices and payment records
- Kept for 7 years, because the law requires businesses to keep financial records.
- Design templates
- We may keep the layout of a design as a blank template for future work, with every name, date, photo and personal detail removed.
Our website does not store the details you type into the enquiry form. They are emailed to us; the website keeps only the date and a reference number. To protect the form from spam, it also keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address for one hour.
Samples of our work
We would love to show other families what we make, but only with your permission. After you have collected your order, we may ask you on WhatsApp whether we may:
- keep one printed copy to show other families in person, and
- photograph it for our website and Instagram.
These are two separate choices. Saying no to either has no effect on your order, and we never ask before your order is complete. If you say yes, you can change your mind at any time: message us on WhatsApp or email us, and we will destroy the printed copy, delete every photo and digital copy, and confirm in writing when it is done.
Cookies and tracking
Our website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics that identify you.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it, unless we must keep it by law (for example, payment records);
- destroy any sample of your order you allowed us to keep, and delete its photos;
- stop using it.
